All our staff are fully trained in child care and paediatric first aid and also understand the importance of laying the correct foundation for our babies.
We offer quality day care for babies between the ages of 3 and 18 months, with strict control over the ratio of babies to caregiver.
All meals offered are freshly prepared on a daily basis, under the supervision of the Day Care Principal. Meals provided by Granny Mouse are cereals and cooked porridges for breakfast, a cooked lunch including fresh fruit and vegetables, as well as juice, tea, water and snacks.
Milk formula is to be provided by the parents, however Granny Mouse will sterilize and prepare baby’s bottles once provided.
As an additional service, we offer vaccinations by Sr. Sue Cohen (General Nursing, Midwife, Psychologist, Community Nurse and Mother Craft), which will be conducted on the premises. We also offer general weight, height, length and head circumference checks for the babies under 12 months by our contracted midwife when required. A summary of costs is available for perusal on request.
We ensure highest quality security features, including:
Not permitting any babies to leave with family members or friends unless specific arrangements have been made in this regard.
ADT monitoring.
Electric fencing.
Remote access control.
Intercom / camera at entry/exit point.
Every baby is issued with a new mattress, waterproof cover sheet and one blanket which is labeled and only used by your baby on registration.
All babies under 6 months old have apnoea monitors in their cots to minotir throughout sleep time.
Babies between the ages of 3 and 12 months sleep in cots specifically allocated to each child. Babies between 13 and 18 months sleep on mattresses in their dedicated sleep area.
Sleep and play areas are separated.
A formal routine is introduced to all age groups, with sleep and awake time being controlled to ensure that your baby gets adequate sleep during the day. The BabyLove guidelines for routine and sleep/awake times are used. Click here to visit the BabyLove website.
All babies are taken outside to enjoy the fresh air daily as part of their play schedule. We have two separate play areas for the babies according to age with age appropriate games, toys and facilities in each area.
A daily run down is given by our staff daily to ensure that parents are familier with babies’ activities for the day including mood, stimulations provided, sleep and awake times and any other information we feel important.
We understand than an infant's environment has a dramatic effect on brain development, especially the first years which are a pivotal time for developing young brain.
We offer the following forms of stimulation daily:
